NOTD: Barry M Neon Pink

Hello Lovelies,

So I purchased a new nail polish from Barry M last week and I could not be more in love. I had this nail polish years ago and when it ran out I just never got round to repurchasing it! (Silly Gillian...)
Barry M Neon Pink is exactly what it says on the tin - the brightest neon pink! It's like a pink highlighter for your nails very similar to the infamous Orly Cabana Boy, although I've noticed some tiny purple reflexes the last day or so I've wearing it but it might just be me!

This colour could not be more on trend for this Spring/Summer and I know I'm going to wear it to death! Unfortunately I don't think the Barry M neon shades are available in store but you can purchase them on their website for a bargain price of £2.99 and they also have a green and yellow shade!

Do you like neon shades?
What's your favourite bright nail polish?

What's in my travel makeup bag?

So I’m off for a trip to Manchester with the boyfriend tomorrow for a long weekend which I am super excited about! He’s been away working offshore for about a week so it’ll be nice to have some catch-up time! We’re actually going down for a Manchester United game (can you tell that wasn’t my idea?) but I’m sure I’ll be hitting the shops too!! I thought I’d do a little post showing you all what I’ll be taking with me in my trusty makeup bag so here goes…

Base:
Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer
MAC Blot powder

These are my go-to products I know won’t fail me and Healthy Mix is light enough for the day but buildable if I want a bit more coverage at night

Cheeks:
Natural Collection Peach Melba
Elf Healthy Glow bronzer

I just decided to take two blushes that I know go with everything. Natural Collection Peach Melba is my all-time favourite blush and is only £1.99!!

Eyes:
Loreal False Lash Telescopic
Maybelline Colossal Volume mascara
Tweezerman eyelash curlers
Urban Decay Naked Palette

These mascaras are my favourite combination at the moment. Loreal gives me the length and Maybelline holds the curl all day! I usually take my Naked palette travelling cause it’s so easy to just pop in my bag and it has all the colours I need!

Lips:
MAC Hue
MAC Shy Girl
YSL Rouge Volupte #1 Nude Beige
Barry M 153
Revlon Lip Butter Strawberry Shortcake
Natural Collection Cherry Red

Yes I realise this is way more lipstick than I need for four days but you all know I’m a lipstick fiend and I always like to have more than I need so I have a selection for day and night looks!

What are your travel bag essentials?

I’m sure you all know I read and reply to all my lovely comments but as I wont be taking my laptop with me to Manchester I’ll be sure to reply to them all as soon as I’m back! :)

Oooh I do love lipstick..

I think we all know by now I’m a little bit of a lipstick whore. It’s something I wear almost everyday now and I love how much a lipstick can change the appearance of your look so I thought I’d show you all my little collection. It may be small to some or big to others but it does me just fine! I have quite a selection of shades and colours so hopefully there’s something in there to tickle everyone’s fancy! :)

Nudes:
17 Lasting Fix Lipstick Shell
Rimmel Moisture Renew Nude Delight
Natural Collection Lotus
MAC Hue
17 Mirror Shine On Beehive
MAC Shy Girl

Swatches in same order as above

Pinks:
Revlon Lip Butter Cupcake
YSL Rouge Volupte #1 Nude Beige
Revlon Pink Pout
Barry M 100 Baby Pink
Revlon Lip Butter Strawberry Shortcake

Brights:
Barry M 153 Pink Ribbon
Barry M 62 Vibrant Pink
Natural Collection Cherry Red
Barry M 146 Dolly Pink

What is your favourite lipstick? Do you prefer brights or nudes? :)

March Favourites

This is my first monthly favourites cause I'm pretty boring and tend to stick to the same products every month but I’ll try get into the habit of doing these every few months and let you know what I’m loving! :)

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish: If you follow me on twitter you’ll know I gave in and bought a 100ml bottle of this cleanser after buying a small bottle to try out (first impressions review here.) It really does scrub off every last scrap of makeup, leaving your skin feeling so smooth.

Revlon Lip butters: I know I know, I need to shut up about these but I couldn’t do a monthly favourites without including them. I suffer from dry lips and these are just so hydrating and have great pigmentation – what more could you ask for!? I did a full post dedicated to them here if you want a more in-depth look at them!

Barry M Berry Ice cream nail polish: This is my favourite nail polish and I literally wear it to death! It's the only nail polish I've ever had to repurchase and I'm so glad that this beautiful pastel shade is right on trend for this Spring!

Christina Aguilera Secret Potion perfume: I got this perfume for Christmas and I’ve been hooked ever since! I actually have all the Christina Aguilera perfumes because they all smell soo amazing. This one is so light and fresh smelling and with the weather turning more Spring-like, this has been my go-to perfume!

Aussie Colour Mate Shampoo: I bought this shampoo after hearing a lot about it on the blogesphere and I never knew a shampoo could make your hair feel so darn good!! My hair has never felt so smooth and soft and I’ve had people compliment me on how shiny my hair looks since using this. It also has a really nice peachy smell which I was surprised by how much I liked!

So what have been your favourites this month? :)

Barry M Nail Paint Collection

Hi Girls!
I love painting my nails and I’m constantly changing the colour depending on my mood. By far my favourite nail polish brand is Barry M. At only £2.99 a pop they have a fantastic range of colours and they glide on so smooth on the nails. I’ve collected quite a few now so I thought I’d show you all my collection!

Raspberry: After hearing so much about this colour on blogs and youtube I decided to give it a try! It’s a beautiful deep raspberry colour and looks great for the winter months!

Shocking Pink: This colour is a must for girly girls and looks amazing when you have a tan. It's a gorgeous fuchsia pink and definitely one the brightest nail polishes I have!

Pink Flamingo: I spent months trying to get my hands on this baby and was so glad when I finally did! It’s a gorgeous coral toned pink that I’m definitely going to be wearing this summer!

Strawberry ice-cream: I love pale colours on my nails and this is soo pretty when you just want a subtle colour on your nails.

Coral: I wasn’t sure about this colour when I first got it just because I have very pale skin and it didn’t really suit me but I’ve definitely grown to love it. If you have olive toned skin it will look amazing on you!

Limited Edition: This colour doesn’t have a proper name which is disappointing: I love when things have pretty names. This is by far my most used nail polish and I wish I had bought back ups!! It looks amazing any time of the year and on any skin tone, if anyone had a dupe for this please let me know!!

Berry ice-cream: After finding my love affair with purple nail polish I picked this up and it’s definitely a close second to the limited edition purple! It’s a lovely pale colour and is perfect if you’re a bit wary of brights!

Cobalt blue: I love black nail polish but I just think I look like Dracula when it’s paired with my super pale skin so I thought this would be a nice alternative! It’s lovely in winter as it’s dark but still adds a pop of colour!

Blueberry ice-cream: I was a little bit unsure of wearing this nail polish when I first got it after my boyfriend said my nails would look like blue smarties! Haha but I’m definitely going to be wearing this over summer, it’s the perfect summer bright!

Topcoat: This is just the standard clear top/base coat and it does the trick! If I put this on before and after my chosen colour it lasts around 4 days before chipping!

Do you have any Barry M nail paints? What colour is your favourite?

Oh and if you haven't seen, you can now follow me on bloglovin! With all the madness about GFC going I thought I better get it! If you follow me but don't have a blog be sure to follow me here or you won't get updates about my posts with GFC after March 19th! Thanks girls! :)
